Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson last night on his Instagram story posted a quote directly from Adolph Hitler, the former socialist leader in Germany who started world war two.

As an Eagles fan, this is disgusting. Where is the response from the team and the NFL? pic.twitter.com/MFPmz0PyOY
As you can see from the tweet above, Jackson was attempting to make a point about America being a historically anti-black country and used Hitler’s claims, very anti-Semitic in whole. The quote has been fact-checked by Snopes as false.
Hitler literally started a war based on propaganda and lies and had the country of Germany backing him as a whole. In the statement that Jackson shared, it’s written that Hitler said “because the white Jews knows that the Negroes are the real Children of Israel and to keep America’s secret the Jews will blackmail America.
“The[y] will extort America, their plan for world domination won’t work if the Negroes know who they were.
“The white citizens of America will be terrified to know that all this time they’ve been mistreating and discriminating and lynching the Children of Israel.”
The Eagles responded with a general message:

Jackson also released a statement on Instagram account:

The outcry on social media has been for the Eagles to cut Jackson. The Eagles show no signs of doing such.
The NFL released a brief statement as well:
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsNFL statement on #Eagles WR DeSean Jackson:
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) July 7, 2020
“DeSean’s comments were highly inappropriate, offensive and divisive and stand in stark contrast to the NFL’s values of respect, equality and inclusion. We have been in contact with the team which is addressing the matter with DeSean.”
Obviously, people are pointing out the comments from former Eagles receiver Riley Cooper years prior. Cooper, at a Kenny Chesney concert, used explicitly racist language and was caught on camera. He ended up being fined by the NFL.
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsyep. They won’t cut DeJax, but you have to spend some time to sit down, pull alleged Hitler quotes and then post a video of renowned anti-semite Farrakhan. Not just a spur of the moment kinda decision, which makes it really beyond stupid.
