Social Media Erupts at Giants Pitcher, Sam Coonrod, for Standing During National Anthem

The “tolerant left” is back at their intolerant ways again, this time directing their hatred and anger toward San Francisco Giants pitcher Sam Coonrod.

Coonrod was the only member of the San Francisco Giants team to stand for the national anthem prior to their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pictures of Coonrod standing by himself quickly went viral.

After the game, Coonrod was questioned for his reasoning surrounding him standing. “I’m a Christian,” he explained, “so I just believe that I can’t kneel before anything besides God. I just can’t get on board with a couple of things I’ve read about Black Lives Matter, how they lean towards Marxism.” He also noted that BLM “said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can’t get on board with that.”

All that Coonrod stated about Black Lives Matter is factually correct. This information is found on the Black Lives Matter website under their “What We Believe” page. In it, they say that they “disrupt the western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.” The founders of the organization have openly discussed the fact that they are trained Marxists.

His explanation wasn’t good enough for the WOKE Zombie mob who made viral an image of Coonrod from the 4th of July wearing a MAGA cap. “Sam Coonrod took the cowards way out by pulling the Christian card,” one social media user said. “At least have the balls to admit the real reason.”

Regardless of what social media said, his teammates stood behind him. Giants pitcher Trevor Oaks pointed out that Coonrod “still held the black curtain with his teammates in support of unity and racial equality. [Coonrod] just chose not to kneel for an organization that didn’t align with his values. So if players don’t kneel for BLM, they’re racist?”

Oaks raises a fair point that many conservative pundits foresaw happening. The ultimate sign of solidarity, according to the alt-left, is to bend a knee for the Black Lives Matter organization. If you don’t show that respect toward BLM, you are a racist because black lives don’t matter to you.

This is the age in which we all live in.
